012. MARCH TRANSITS CHAT

THE ASTROLOGY OF MARCH 2025

March 2025 is arguably the most pivotal and activated months of the year.

Mars direct, Venus retrograde, Mercury retrograde, Neptune enters Aries. In this episode I share my insight into each of these major transits and discuss what we could expect.

  •  Hello, my astro lovers. How are we? It is Wednesday the 26th of February. I have just gotten home from the gym. And I feel like I need to word vomit, brain dump, I don't know…. I've just got a lot going on in my mind. A lot of astrology stuff going on in my mind.

I cannot stop thinking about all of the transits happening. All of the pattern recognition, the correlation that I'm seeing. And of course, we are only a few days out from March, and March is the most activated and pivotal month of the year, astrologically speaking. It is a huge month. We have a Venus retrograde, a Mercury retrograde, we have the first of our eclipses, we have Neptune entering Aries and a lot of other important aspects and as you know 2025 itself in general is a very big year in astrology -we have all of the outer planets changing signs, plus Saturn, plus the lunar nodes - it's it's a big deal.

So, we have Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all entering new signs, although technically Pluto entered Aquarius last year in December But this is its first full year of its very long stay in Aquarius. So it's going to be in Aquarius for the next 18 years. We also have Uranus moving into Gemini, Neptune moving into Aries, Saturn is moving into Aries, and the lunar nodes have also shifted as well. They are now in Pisces and Virgo.

And the thing with the outer planets is that they move very, very slowly. and what that means is that when they do move into a new zodiac sign it signals massive change for us as a collective and also us individually but the outer planets don't influence us the same way that say mars venus mercury jupiter and saturn do. The outer planets influence us on a more subtle level. So that's why I kind of say it's going to impact and influence us on a collective level.

So I really want to talk about a few transits that have been on my mind lately. In particular, Mars turning direct, Venus retrograde, Mercury retrograde, and what we can expect from Neptune moving into Aries. All of this is happening in March. Although Mars has already turned direct this week, the final week of February.

So Mars has been retrograde since the start of December 2024. and on Monday the 24th of February, he finally went direct. I feel like Mars was retrograde forever, and I feel like a lot of us were feeling the impacts of this Mars retrograde.

So I for one was very very excited to reach the 24th of February, knowing that the energy was shifting, at least where Mars is concerned.

Mars stationed direct at 17 degrees of Cancer. Mars retrograde started in Leo. He started the retrograde in the very early signs, uh, degrees, sorry, of Leo and worked his way back through the late degrees of Cancer and has now stationed direct at 17 degrees Cancer.

But he's going to spend the next seven to eight weeks in Cancer still. So what this means is that we're getting a chance to rework the themes of our Cancer ruled house.

Remember we all have all of the 12 zodiac signs in our birth chart. Whether you have planets in those signs or not, those signs are somewhere in your birth chart over one of the houses, maybe two of the houses even, influencing the themes and the topics of So this is an opportunity to rework those themes.

This may be an area of life where while Mars was retrograde, you felt a lack of motivation, you were frustrated at the lack of any movement or action happening in that area of your life. There may have been a lot of anger, a lot of frustration, you might've had to set your boundaries. I know I certainly did. But now that Mars is direct, we're able to use the reflection and the insight from that retrograde period to move forward with a new action plan.

So the retrograde was a really good time to identify ways in which we'd like to react differently, different ways in which we'd like to handle our conflict. It was a period where we weren't really able to sweep our frustrations under the rug as easily as we may have once been able to.

And for many of us, it was a time where we felt a strong desire to re-examine our goals and motivations and to uncover what really drives us. What makes us say, “I want this thing so badly, and I'm going to do anything to get it!” And there would have been some lessons as well around old wounds and vulnerabilities, which is very cancer, that we have carried into adulthood.

And those wounds may have been preventing us from growing into a more confident version of ourselves. The version that could take action, the version that could rely on their desires and their motivation.

But the good news is, is that Jupiter is soon entering the sign of cancer too. So the energy is going to greatly shift in that area of your life. So even if things have felt very stagnant, slow, frustrating in your cancer ruled house, as the year progresses and Jupiter moves into that sign, it's actually going to feel more abundant and it's going to be an area of major growth. So even though the retrograde may have been challenging, it was actually a much needed period where we were able to use that energy and do the hard work that's going to set us up for the growth and the blessings that are coming.

So if the start of 2025 has been very slow for you, it's off to a slow start, just know it’s perfectly normal. Let's blame it on Mars Retrograde.

Mars rules, all things, anger, aggression, conflict, energy levels. So we could have been experiencing low or fluctuating energy levels. We may have also experienced burnout, a low sex drive, injuries, a lack of motivation. That's all Mars, and now that he's in direct motion again, we can start to expect a shift around those topics. And of course, around the themes of your cancer ruled house.

So that was one transit that I just was able to breathe a sigh of relief when we reached, but there are a couple more transits I want to touch on.

I have to talk about Venus retrograde, because that's happening this Sunday, the 2nd of March, Venus is stationing retrograde. So we're already in its pre retrograde shadow period, but it will be stationing direct on Sunday, the 2nd of March and the lovely Venus will be stationing at 10 degrees of Aries. When it starts moving backwards, it will then enter Pisces on the 27th of March. And then it will stay retrograde until the 13th of April, where it will then turn direct again at 24 degrees of Pisces.

So Venus works in an eight year cycle, meaning that every eight years it retrogrades in the same signs. And what that means is that Venus connects events from the past with the present.

So we can notice a repeating theme or pattern in our lives from those time periods back when Venus was retrograding either Aries or Pisces. And that is going to take us to the year 2017 and 2009.

So if you have planets or angles in the late degrees of Pisces or in the early degrees of Aries, you especially may want to pay attention to any repeating patterns in your life that correlate with those years. In particular, March to April of 2017 and March and April of 2009.

Now, two things that I've seen in my travels on Instagram - my scrolling hours - make me think of Venus retrograde are Lady Gaga and the Fyre Festival.

Let's talk about Lady Gaga first. So Lady Gaga has a sun in Aries. She has a Venus in Aries and she has a Mercury in Pisces. And as I said, this Venus retrograde is in the sign of Aries and Pisces. But what's interesting is that if we go back to 2009 and the Venus retrograde that was happening then, that is when her song poker face blew up.

It was actually released in 2008, at the very end of 2008, but it became the best selling single of 2009 worldwide. It's just when it kind of exploded, right? And then in the 2017 Venus retrograde period, she performed at the super bowl.

And now we are experiencing another Venus retrograde in those same signs. So that same cycle for her. And she just won an award at the Grammys with, I think it was Bruno Mars, and she premiered her music video for Abracadabra.

It's now all I'm hearing on the radio all the time. And interestingly, a lot of people have compared that video music video to her poker face music video. And she has announced that her new album comes out pretty much exactly a week after Venus Station's Retrograde.

Now all of that is very interesting and the correlation recognition is there. But what is also interesting is that when I was doing some research on this, I went onto Wikipedia, I was looking at the dates for Poker Face. And it says that in April, 2009 - so when Venus was retrograde - Gaga explained to the crowd the true meaning behind the term poker face used in the song.

She suggested that the song dealt with her personal experience with bisexuality. Now, why I'm bringing that up is because at the Grammys in her, uh, acceptance speech, Lady Gaga also mentioned something along the same themes. She actually advocated for trans people. She said trans people are not invisible, they deserve love, the queer community deserves to be lifted up.

So there is also another pattern that is repeating for Gaga this retrograde. So this particular Venus cycle is very important for Lady Gaga. And looking at her birth chart, I would say that's because she has her sun and Venus in Aries and she has her Mercury in Pisces. So whenever Venus is in Aries and Pisces and especially these retrogrades for her, it is going to be a more prominent time for her.

So that's one thing I've noticed that has come up with, uh, the Venus retrograde. I just love noticing these patterns in history and when they repeat themselves and how they correlate to different astrological transits.

Now, the second thing I want to talk about is the Fyre Festival. So the Fyre Festival was this luxury music festival. It was ran or started by this American guy called Billy McFarland and the, uh, rapper Ja Rule.

Now this whole event was promoted by all different kinds of famous influencers like, uh, Kendall Jenner, uh, Bella Hadid, and some other people that I don't actually follow, but I do recognize their names. And what it promised was that it was going to be this really luxurious experience where you get to listen to music, you get to have luxury villas, gourmet food, all of this stuff.

And people paid hundreds and even thousands of dollars for the tickets. But what happened was the festival was scheduled to take place in, on the last couple of days of April and then the first few days of May. And I'm going to read this next part from its Wikipedia page.

It says during the Fyre Festival's inaugural weekend, the event experienced problems related to security, food, accommodation, medical services. and artist relations resulting in the festival being indefinitely postponed and eventually canceled. Instead of the gourmet meals and luxury villas for which festival attendees had paid for, they allegedly received packaged sandwiches and were lodged in poorly structured and furnished tents.

There is two documentaries out about the Fyre Festival, one on Hulu, one on Netflix. So if you want to know more about this absolute mess of a festival. Highly recommend you go watch it. It is eye opening. It is pretty sad as well. There were people who were completely stranded on this island. There were people who had no shelter. It was absolutely just boggy, muddy mess. They had no food, no water, um, no toilets, like there were very limited toilets. These people put pictures up and it was like two pieces of cheese, a slice of bread and some lettuce. That was what they were given to eat and people were stranded.

And the people who ran this event of the fire festival just basically got on a plane or whatever and just left, right? They just left it all the mess behind. That guy has now actually spent a few years in jail and the reason that I'm telling you all of this is that it happened during the Venus wretched grade of 2017, which is in the same year, same eight year cycle of the one that is happening right now.

And why this is interesting is that I had just seen this morning, I opened my Instagram this morning when I was getting ready for the gym and I saw that Fyre Festival 2 has been announced. Tickets are almost sold out. Okay. First of all, I don't know why the fuck this guy is trying to do it again.

Second of all, it's just the most amazing timing, astrologically speaking. This is what us astrologers live for. We love to see this pattern repeating itself, um, and the correlation with the different transits. So, very, very interesting.

So look, I'm not going to get into what Venus could retrograde could mean for you personally.

I am writing more about that on my blog, on my website, jnastrology.com.au and also sharing some more personalized, I guess, horoscopic predictions in the astrology school community, which is my app. And you are welcome to join. There is a link in the show notes. If you want to join that.

But I want to move on to the next transit. So we've got Mars now direct, then we have Venus going retrograde, and we have Mercury going retrograde for the first time this year.

So Mercury retrograde begins on the 15th of March at 9 degrees of Aries. and it will be retrograde until the 7th of April where it will station direct at 26 degrees Pisces. Now, Mercury will be retrograding right next to Venus the whole time, and when Mercury stations direct at 26 degrees Pisces, Venus will be at 25 degrees, 25 Pisces. So these two planets are going to be moving in its retrograde motion together over Aries and Pisces throughout the majority of March and some of April.

During the retrograde, Mercury is going to conjunct Neptune, and because he's retrograde, he will actually do this three times. So once while he's direct, and then when he stations Uh, retrograde, he's going to move backwards and pass over Neptune's degree again, and then when he moves forward again he's going to meet up with Neptune for the third and final time.

The conjunction with Neptune while Mercury is retrograde is going to be on the 30th of March at 29 degrees of Pisces, the final degree of Pisces. I've been thinking about the significance of this and how to put it into words.

Now this conjunction I believe is going to make us very powerful conduits for psychic insight. Mercury is a planet of the mind. And Neptune is the planet of illusion, spirituality, and all of that. You know, ether stuff. So this conjunction is going to bring the topics of spirituality, um, mystical topics, esoteric topics to our mind, and our imagination and our creative talents are going to be heightened.

This is a period where we may receive divine downloads, a lot of spiritual insight, a lot of new ideas that somehow connect to our intuitive and psychic abilities. And if you're saying, well, I don't have any abilities… we all do. We're just not really tapped into them. Some people have them more prominent than others, but if we open ourselves as conduits to these divine messengers, cause Mercury is the God of the messengers, right?

He is the conduit. He is the channel between the other gods and us. Then we are able to receive some very profound insights. But on the other hand, this kind of transit can also represent some misunderstandings, some confusion, some paranoia, secrets, and scandal. So it will be very interesting just to see what kind of plays out both in the collective, but also for us.

Personally, when Mercury is retrograde and conjuncts Neptune, especially around the 30th of March, even though he's going to do it three times, I'm very interested in that retrograde one on the 30th of March. And then I think that that third one on the 17th of April is when things kind of, uh, wrap up or come to light that have to do with whatever has happened on the 30th of March.

So, that's kind of just my PSA that hey, we have a Mercury retrograde happening Very soon, so prepare yourself. Not that it's something to be worried about, but it's just something we do like to prepare for.

Okay, the final transit I want to talk about that has been on my mind is Neptune entering Aries. Now Neptune spans approximately 13 years in a sign. So when it changes signs, it is a really big shift that is going to impact society as a whole. Neptune in Pisces feels like it lasted forever. And I really think that Neptune in Pisces drastically changed us, it changed so many different facets of society and our experiences as human beings. I do have an Instagram post on this, um, I'll try and find the link for it and put it in the show notes.

I won't get too much into that now and rehash that you can check out that link if you kind of want to look into what Neptune and Pisces revealed for us and how it influenced us. But when Neptune moves into Aries, this is the start of a new 165 year cycle. Because Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, which means that Neptune is now beginning another cycle around the Zodiac.

Now, many astrologers are predicting. major societal and political upheaval this year, mainly because Neptune is moving into Aries and Aries can be very volatile. It is a fire sign after all. And last time Neptune was in Aries in 1861 was when the American Civil War began and in the United States Sibley chart, which is essentially the birth chart for the United States Uranus is in Gemini and Uranus moving into Gemini this year.

So the USA is going to be experiencing its Uranus return. And the last time that Uranus was in Gemini was in 1941, which is right before the U. S. got involved with World War II.

So there we have, um, I've just mentioned the American Civil War and World War II. So when we pair Uranus moving into Gemini, and the return for America with Neptune moving into Aries, and we look at the themes and the patterns from last time we experienced these transits… it just doesn't look very healthy, especially for the United States.

And even though I don't live in the United States, I do know that they are a big player on planet earth and whatever happens there is going to affect the rest of the world or at least Australia to some degree.

Now Aries is ruled by mars and mars is known as the god of war.

It's very intense very masculine. It's fiery energy so that kind of explains that for you, but one of neptune's powers is to dissolve.

So with neptune in aries, perhaps it is a time where we let go of all of that Pisces abstract or arbitrary structures and belief systems that have severely limited humanity this far. And maybe instead we will have a new period of creativity and of innovation that is fueled by what was once intangible dreams and ideas. Which is very Pisces. So maybe humanity will no longer sit on the sidelines, which is Pisces, and maybe now is when we all stand up and demand or take action, which is Aries.

I think Neptune themes of spirituality and even astrology is also going to become much more prominent moving forward with Neptune in Aries.

And so all of this to say that all of these transits are going to affect us on a collective level, on a more subtle, um, general level, but for people who have angles and planets in Aries, March is going to be a pretty big month for you. and that doesn't necessarily mean bad.

It just means it might be more of an activated or pivotal month for you where you do notice a lot of change, a lot of insight. A lot of reimagining.

Okay, and that's not even all of it. There's so many more, uh, transits and aspects that are being made in. March, but they're kind of the big ones that have been on my mind lately and that I just kind of wanted to share with you so you can just, I guess, have foresight, be more aware, and maybe do some research in how these transits are also impacting your personal birth chart.

But the other thing I wanted to talk about before I sign off and go get some launnch my astrology certification, because that is where a lot of my energy, like 90 percent of my energy has been focused. This has been truly a labor of love. I have been working on this certification program for over 12 months.

And I think it takes a very special type of person to put in hard work day in, day out, and not get any form of return, of reward, of acknowledgement for all of that hard work you're doing. It either takes a special kind of person or a crazy kind of person and I think I might be both. But I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The certification is nearing completion. I have looked at the electional charts for each month. of the next three months, um, to decide when I wanted to, uh, open the doors to the certification. And I have decided on that and that is coming up very, very, very soon.

And something that has driven me in creating this certification is that for so long, it has just been like this common fact in the astrology community that it takes four years to learn astrology. I don't know where it came from. I don't know who made it up. I don't know why it is. The idea was that it takes four years to learn astrology before you can kind of call yourself a practicing astrologer.

Like I'm sure in those four years, you know, you would be doing, donation based or free readings to practice. But yeah, it's always been like this four year thing. And I am here to challenge that and to dispel that because too often people think “I can't learn astrology. It's too much. It's too complicated. It's too complex. It takes too long.” You can learn astrology and you can do it in four months, not four years.

And that is how long my certification program goes for. I have created this program and I split it into three levels. And there is a bonus, level, I guess, for people who want to Take their certification and their new skills and start a business as an astrologer, but the three main levels Level one is the foundations of astrology.

It's where we learn from the ground up We go back to the very very basics the philosophy the history the potential the styles that all the different things and we learn about the the building blocks of astrology the Sun the signs of planets the houses and the aspects of and that's where everyone starts, no matter of their experience, no matter how much they know or don't know about astrology, that's where they start.

then level two is the nuts and bolts of astrology and natal chart reading. So, this is where we learned all the advanced techniques and concepts of reading astrology a lot. It's a very technical focused Level 2, but when you complete Level 2, you will have all of the tools that you need to apply the practical knowledge of astrology and become a practicing astrologer reading charts for other people.

Level 3 expands on all of that and is focused on Timing techniques. So predictive astrology. Now you don't need predictive astrology in order to read the birth chart and give, uh, like a psychological analysis of the birth chart to a person. But most people also want to know timing. And not only if they want to know or not, but as an astrologer, understanding predictive astrology is greatly going to enhance your own personal knowledge of astrology in general.

Level one, level two, level three, have been meticulously structured over four months to be completed. and I have a proven framework for reading birth charts that takes you step by step through the process so that you actually know what you're talking about so that when you sit down and read someone's birth chart, you can say something meaningful, something helpful, something insightful to the person sitting across the table or the zoom camera or whatever from you. This is a program that is designed to make you into a confident and capable astrologer.

Because here's the other thing that has really driven me in creating this course. There has been a surge of interest in astrology over the last five years, which has resulted in a wave of new astrologers into the field. And that is fantastic. The more astrologers, the better, right? Because astrology is a very empowering, and healing tool.

But what it means is that it's not enough to be good anymore. You need to be exceptional. The pool of astrologers is getting bigger. And so you need to stand out. You need to be exceptional, not just good. And I'm seeing that a lot of astrologers are divided into two camps. A lot of these new astrologers anyway.

Some of them are very technical focused, They have exceptional technical skills. And then there's the other camp who really just kind of know the foundations, the basics of astrology. They call themselves an astrologer, but they don't have that technical ability mastered, but instead they're kind of relying on pop astrology and they're kind of, um, using their imagination and their intuition to perform readings.

And one of my biggest concerns, and I know this is a concern of many astrologers in the industry, is that we don't want astrology to be devalued. because of any of this. we want astrology to remain a respected field that is seen and valued as a helpful tool for self awareness. For healing, for empowerment, for timing, for all kinds of different avenues to get through life, to understand ourselves better and to heal the world.

So it is getting very close until the very first cohort slides through the doors of the astrology certification. and I will be walking side by side with this cohort. this is a self paced program, but I am also going to be walking alongside you through it through a, a schedule, I guess.

And what that means is that makes it a little bit easier to stay on schedule to complete the content, to complete your studies, to submit your assignments, all of that, because I will be on Zoom calls with you. I will be there to answer questions live, but it is self paced.

And if you do go self at your own pace, that's okay. You still have access to all of the live recordings. You still have access to direct help from me, direct support and guidance from me. there is a private student community to ask your questions. And, you know, usually I get back to people within 24 hours and all feedback and guidance is through me personally.

There is no one else doing this on my team. It is just me. So I'm very big on being hands on, because from my own experience when learning astrology in a structured program, having a mentor and someone that I could reach out to at any time was truly a valuable experience. It made the difference of me not only completing the course, but also understanding everything that I was consuming, everything that I was beginning to integrate into my astrological studies and practice. So I'm really, really big on, on the support and I cannot wait To share the link to sign up when the doors open, if you are interested in being a part of the first cohort, I will put a link in the show notes to join the wait list.

This is the final time I'm going to announce this because it is actually getting very, very close to sending that email out with the sign up button. But the first cohort is essentially like a little bit of a guinea pig where you're going to get the full experience. But in return, I'm also asking for you to let me know if there's anything I can improve or change or work on to make the curriculum and the content better for future students who come into the astrology certification and And in return for your feedback in return for a testimonial that I can use on my website and social media, you'll be getting the certification at 70 percent off.

So that is only for the first cohort. And I will put the link in the show note. If you want to join that list, the email goes out very, very soon. If you're listening to this in that link does not work or it does not exist anymore, disregard everything I've just said, because the time has passed. but that is pretty much all I wanted to say today.

And yeah, I hope you have a lovely few remaining days of February and I will talk to you guys in the next episode.

    Bye.
